The trainee journey

Three phases, from onboarding to deployment

The programme is measured at every step. Trainees, mentors and the programme team see the same progress in the portal.

Trainee voices

What trainees say about the rotations, the mentors and the fieldwork

Chidinma Okafor

Finance graduate, UNN · Commodity Export rotation

Finance

“The Commodity Export rotation changed how I read a warehouse receipt. Two weeks around the Kaduna warehouses taught me more about collateral than any lecture.”

Abdulrahman Sani

Agricultural Economics, ABU Zaria · Credit Risk rotation

Economics

“My mentor's monthly feedback was blunt and specific. By the third cycle my readiness band had moved from On track to Ready for deployment.”

Oluwaseun Adebayo

Risk Management, UNILAG · Corporate Finance rotation

Risk Management

“I expected slides. In my second week I got a real credit file, a deadline, and a trainer who marked it the way a line manager would.”

Blessing Nwachukwu

Agribusiness, FUNAAB · Fieldwork

Agribusiness

“Logging site visits felt like admin until I saw my fieldwork hours next to the cohort's. I went back to the rice mill in Abakaliki with better questions.”

Emeka Obi

Economics, University of Ibadan · Live sessions

Economics

“Every live session is recorded. When the power went mid-session in Enugu I caught up that night and still passed the weekly test.”

Ibrahim Danladi

Mentor · Commodity Export desk

Mentor

“The 360° form makes me write down what I would otherwise only say in passing. Trainees read it, and they come back the next month having fixed it.”
